1. Introduction

ADEELSAB (PRIVATE) LIMITED ("adeelsab.com", "we", "us" or "our") operates the website and marketplace platform located at adeelsab.com (the "Platform"), which connects independent third-party sellers ("Sellers") with buyers ("Buyers", together with Sellers, "Users", "you"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

By creating an account, browsing, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Platform.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use and, if you are a Seller, our Seller Agreement.

Pre-launch note. The marketplace has not launched yet. Today the Platform is this website and a seller waitlist, so the only information most people give us is what the waitlist form asks for. The rest of this Policy describes the marketplace as it will operate once it opens.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information we collect through:

• The adeelsab.com website and any associated mobile applications;
• Customer support interactions (email, chat, phone, WhatsApp or similar channels);
• Marketing communications and promotional activities; and
• Offline interactions connected to your use of the Platform, such as verification calls and dispute resolution.

It does not apply to the practices of Sellers, delivery or courier partners, or other third parties who operate their own websites, apps or services, even if linked from or integrated with the Platform. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third party you interact with through adeelsab.com.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide directly

3.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages viewed and timestamps.
• Usage data: Search queries, items viewed or favourited, cart activity, order history, click patterns.
• Location data: Approximate location derived from your IP address or, where you enable it, precise device location, for example for delivery estimates.
• Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 7.

On the waitlist form we store a one-way hash of your IP address to stop spam and repeated submissions. The raw IP address is never stored.

3.3 Information from third parties

• Verification and fraud-prevention partners who help us confirm Seller identity or business legitimacy.
• Delivery and courier partners, who share shipment and delivery-status information.
• Publicly available sources, where relevant to verifying a business Seller.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Create and administer your Buyer or Seller account;
• Operate the marketplace: display listings, process orders, facilitate communication between Buyers and Sellers, and coordinate delivery;
• Process payments and payouts, including verifying account ownership to prevent fraud and misdirected funds;
• Verify Seller identity, business legitimacy and compliance with our listing standards;
• Provide customer support and resolve disputes between Buyers and Sellers;
• Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and violations of our Terms of Use or Seller Agreement;
• Send transactional communications such as order confirmations, shipping updates and account notices;
• Send marketing communications, where you have not opted out (see Section 9);
• Analyse and improve the Platform, including troubleshooting and developing new features; and
• Comply with applicable law, regulatory requests and legal process, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• Between Buyers and Sellers. To fulfil an order we share the Buyer's name, delivery address and contact number with the relevant Seller, and share order and shipment information with the Buyer. Sellers are independently responsible for how they use this information and are contractually bound by our Seller Agreement to use it solely to fulfil the transaction.
• Service providers. Delivery and courier companies, identity-verification vendors, cloud hosting and IT infrastructure providers, customer-support tooling and analytics providers, each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations appropriate to the service they provide. The providers we use to run this website today are Supabase (database), Hostinger (hosting and email) and, if enabled, Google Analytics.
• Payment-related sharing. Bank, JazzCash and Easypaisa account details are shared only internally with authorised finance personnel and, where necessary, with our banking partners to execute a transfer.
• Legal and safety reasons. Where required by law, court order or a valid request from a government or law-enforcement authority in Pakistan, or where necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of adeelsab.com, our Users or the public.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation or sale of all or part of our business, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.
• With your consent. For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection, with your consent.

6. Seller access to Buyer information

Sellers may only use Buyer information (name, address, contact number, order details) to process and fulfil the specific order, provide related customer service, and comply with legal obligations such as tax invoicing. Sellers are prohibited from:

• Using Buyer contact information for marketing without consent;
• Selling, renting or otherwise disclosing Buyer information to third parties; or
• Retaining Buyer information longer than necessary to fulfil the order and any applicable legal or tax retention period.

Violations may result in suspension or termination of the Seller's account under the Seller Agreement, and may expose the Seller to independent liability.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged in and remember your preferences, including your choice of English or Urdu;
• Understand how the Platform is used and improve performance;
• Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns; and
• Detect and prevent fraudulent activity.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform, for example you may need to log in each time you visit.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to:

• Maintain your account and provide the Platform to you;
• Comply with tax, accounting and other legal or regulatory obligations, including record-keeping requirements applicable to marketplace transactions in Pakistan;
• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements; and
• Support legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete it or anonymise it in a manner designed to prevent re-identification, except where longer retention is required by law.

9. Your choices and rights

Regardless of your location, we aim to give you meaningful control over your information:

• Access and correction. You may access and update most account information directly from your account settings, or by contacting us.
• Marketing preferences. You may opt out of promotional emails and SMS or WhatsApp messages at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. You will continue to receive transactional and account-related messages necessary for the service to function.
• Account deletion. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@adeelsab.com. We will delete or anonymise your personal information except where we are required or permitted to retain it, for example for tax records, unresolved disputes or fraud investigations.
• Data portability and other requests. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before doing so.

10. Data security

We implement administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, including access controls, encryption of sensitive data in transit, and restricted internal access to financial and identity information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

If we become aware of a data breach that poses a real risk of harm to affected Users, we will notify affected Users and take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact, consistent with applicable law and good practice, even though Pakistan does not currently impose a statutory breach-notification deadline.

11. Children's privacy

The Platform is not directed at, and may not be used by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

12. International data transfers

Our servers, service providers or personnel may be located outside Pakistan. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be protected in a manner consistent with this Policy.

13. Third-party links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, delivery-tracking pages or Seller-operated social media accounts. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements or other factors. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice such as an email or an in-platform banner. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

15. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. See the Governing Law and Dispute Resolution sections of our Terms of Use for further detail.
